This will be a five-day travelogue about a trip to Rwanda, the magnificent “Land of a Thousand Hills.” Africa’s east is where Rwanda is situated. In the Republic of Rwanda, we take you for a wildlife encounter. Only three countries in the east and central Africa are home to the Mountain Gorilla species, which live around the vast Virunga chain of mountains. Gorilla trekking In Rwanda is in the northern location in Volcanoes National Park. The only savannah park in the nation, Akagera National Park, will be the location of the wildlife experience.
You will do game drive, canoe ride, guided nature walk, and Gorilla trekking, well guide by our experienced guides. The republic of Rwanda is one of the safest countries in the continent of Africa, with hospitable people, cool climate and variety of flora and fauna. It is a road trip that begins and ends in Rwanda’s Kigali.
Our knowledgeable driving guide will greet you today as you arrive in the Land of a Thousand Hills, offer you a drink of juice, and give you a rundown of what to expect throughout the safari. You will transfer to the national park that is home to the critically endangered mountain gorillas. The drive from Kigali Rwanda to Volcanoes national park takes you about 3-4 hours, while enjoying the beautiful views of the stunning landscape, lush vegetation, and more. You will arrive at the lodge for check-in and a late lunch. A cultural tour is then optional. You will spend time with the local Rwandese people before going back to the resort for dinner and the night.
After breakfast, you will put on a trekking outfit, choose a packed lunch, gather your paperwork, and travel to the park’s administrative center for a crucial 30-minute gorilla pre-trek briefing. It’s time for the ranger guides to go over the dos and don’ts of trekking, talk about gorillas, and assign a gorilla group to track. If you didn’t already know, mountain gorillas are only found in Africa, and their genes are 98% identical to those of humans. A typical gorilla trip lasts between one and eight hours, adding an additional hour for photo opportunities and observing the silverback and his family interact, feed, and engage in other activities. You will spend an hour with the apes before returning to the lodge for refreshments, a light dinner, and the night.
You will have a leisurely breakfast at the lodge today, then at around noon, you will leave for Akagera National Park. The road is renowned for its stunning scenery, rolling hills, rich greenery, and more. When you arrive in the evening, you’ll check in at the lodge where you can relax, have dinner, and take a nap.
Have a great cup of coffee to start the day. The next activity is a game drive, which takes about three to four hours. The ranger guide will aid in distinguishing the various park inhabitants by name, characteristic, sound, and color, including the lions, leopards, cape buffaloes, African elephants, zebras, impalas, rhinoceroses, and others. After the program, you will have a lunch break before enjoying a delectable lunch in the refreshing surroundings of nature.
You will travel to Twin Lake in the afternoon for a canoe ride with the locals. There, among other things, you can take a boat ride and hear the villagers’ stories. At dusk, dinner is served, and the day comes to an end.
You will fill your tummies with a delectable breakfast dish at the lodge around dawn before traveling to your drop-off location. If your flight is running late, a lunchtime city tour of Kigali is a great option. At Kigali you will visit the Genocide memorial where over 2500 victims of the Hutu and Tutsi traditional conflicts where buried. The art and craft store will be the alternative location to purchase some mementos.
